Hemispace

A therapeutic game for stroke patients

The concept for this game was to help patients who experienced stroke (specifically hemispatial neglect) to recover quicker. While the vision itself is working perfectly fine, it's the brain that can't process what's on the left side of someone's visual field (for example while eating a plate of food, they would eat the right half of the plate but not the left as they don't know there's food on that side).

I based each minigame off of the pre-existing paper and pen tests used to evaluate the extent of the neglect. By using VR, patients are able to have a more relaxing and fun experience while also having the same effectiveness as existing tests.
